Thaipusam Day

It's a public holiday in Selangor and Wilayah. Dad and sis are here. I cancelled my facial appointment and gonna meet them later. Dad have Maxis dinner tonight and I'm gonna bring my sis for some shopping. Perhaps it's time to shop for some Chinese New Year clothes..hehhe! Who knows Dad will sponsor me some at the same time..LOL! It's been quite some time I didnt ask for pocket money. I guess it's almost 2 years I didnt ask for any allowance. So it's time to ask ;)

Supposed to meet Alia this morning at 10, but both of us overslept! And I cant join the gathering this Saturday. All collegemates will be going for the gathering at Jogoya. Unfortunately I'm gonna miss it. I'm sure they gonna have lotsa funs there laughing! No choice for me but to go back Penang. Something to be done which is more important than the gathering.

Anyway I need to get ready now. Another 45 minutes for the boyfriend to wait..hehhe! 15 minutes for shower, 10 minutes to dress up, 10 minutes for make-up, and 10 minutes to blow my hair. i'm out of clothes to wear coz I havent send them to laundry. Headache! I have to bring the whole lots of dirty clothes back to hometown.

Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Eyeliner Set

Plans mentioned earlier to meet my dad and sis was cancelled. Will meet them tomoro morning. I just came back from OneU and The Curve. The Bobbi Brown promotion has arrived to OneU outlet and I went to collect the Limited Edition Long-Wear Cream Eyeliner set. Fion introduced me this eyeliner coz I was making noise on my eyeliners. I'm using Dior pencil eyeliner which I find its best among all coz it's waterproof and doesnt smudge easily. But by the end of the day, it still smudges. I admit that my face and eyes are oily and that is why those waterproof liners dont stay.

Last week I went to OneU to ask on this set but the promotion is not available yet. I booked a set and 3 days back the promoter called me. So I went to collect it today. I tried out the cream eyeliner the other day before I making my purchase today. I wanna find out how good it lasts and the results was excellent! The cream liner stayed all day at its line without smudging! The effect is the same as liquid eyeliner but it is easier to apply. It dries up very quickly as well.

The set comes with 2 colour of cream liner (black and chocolate), a mini ultra fine eye liner brush, and instant long-wear makeup remover. It's very worth it coz the price of one cream liner is RM65 and the brush is RM70. But of course the RM70 brush is longer. And now the promotion is RM150 for the entire set.

And this is my beautiful pair of eyes with the cream eyeliner

No smudge

No fudge

The photo taken is after a long day out with the cream eyeliner. It was the tester used at the counter before I make the order.

And I love my eyelashes..hahha! From the photo, I realised I have long eyelashes..hehhe! No extensions nothing. Only with the Maybelline XXL Mascara.

I did not apply the microfiber (white) but only the black mascara. I hate the microfiber coz after a long day out, the black mascara started to fade and left with the white microfiber. It's ugly! Btw this is one of my all time favourites. I dont invest much in mascaras coz to me all are the same. It depends on how well it suits your preference. To me, Maybelline is good enough to emphasize on your sexy long lashes ;)

And after that, we went to The Curve to alter my Levis jeans. Alter the length of the jeans which I bought few months ago. I send to the express altering service and they charged me RM30 for 2 pairs. I have no idea whats the price should be, but at least it is done within an hour! Now I have another 2 new jeans to wear instead of keeping them in the wardrobe. While waiting for the alter, we had our meal at Dragon-i! Hehhe yummy!

Alright gotta go for dinner now.. ;)

What A Tiring Day!

Hmmpf! That's why I told the boyfriend success doesnt come easily. Success is like a magnet sticking to hard work and perseverance. I'm accelerating my hard work and perseverance..And the sacrifice to stay out of home, under the super hot sun and sometimes heavy rain..is another thingy. But one thing to appreciate is that I dont need to work under a boss and be controlled..that's what I like best ;)

There's more tasks coming and I guess my time for entertainment has gone to the minimum level. Am going back Penang these few days and get ready for the award presentation this Sunday. I gotta arrange the accommodations of about 15 people. My lines from KL are attending the award presentation and I think my job as tour guide begins on Sunday..hahha! Luckily they'll be in Penang for about 2 days only. At least I dont have to think of where to bring them. Food places are enough to fill their 2 days. After the award presentation, then the preparation for Chinese New Year.

No idea where the celebration of CNY will be this year. I mean the family celebration. I heard from my uncle that everyone gonna come down to KL this year instead of celebration in hometown. It'll be good if everyone come down. Then I can go to the boyfriend's side without rushing back to hometown. Last year I was in KL on the first day of CNY and rushed back to hometown in the evening of the first day of CNY. I hope it's not gonna happen again this year..hehhe!

And after the Chinese New Year, I gotta prepare the schedule for Jakarta and Medan trip. I'm supposed to plan all the schedules and tasks for Indonesia trip. The good news is that more friends gonna join us for the Indonesia trip. So I'm sure it's gonna be an interesting one. And Ivan suggested that we can go Bangkok around May. Bangkok = shopping haven! Anyway it's out of the current plan. Just gonna leave it first..

This morning I woke up and got panic coz I'm supposed to go for SK-II facial. The appointment is 12.30pm and it's almost 12pm when I woke up. I knew I couldnt make it coz I need about 45 minutes to get ready. So I called the outlet to cancel or postpone the appointment. And to my surprise..

"Hello I'm Elaine..I have an appointment today and I'd like to cancel it and change to another day,"
"Miss..I think you called the wrong outlet. Today we dont have any beautician on duty."
"Uh..but my appointment is today at 12.30pm!"
"Wait let me check..what your name and contact number?"
"Elaine..contact number 012-4XXX3XX"
"Elaine..your appointment is on the 28th Jan! It's next monday."

I was confused! Didnt know that my appointment is next week..hahha! And I changed the appointment to this week before going back to Penang..hehehhe! The boyfriend laughed at me saying that I dont know even remember the date of appointment. Simply call to cancel..LOL

Damn memalukan but tak pe lar..humans do make mistakes sometimes..hahhhah!

Anyway I gotta remove my make-ups and get my shower before it's 2am. My routine has messed up and I usually go to bed around 3 or 4am. Gonna sleep earlier tonight. More things to be done tomoro. Sigh!

Goodnite everyone! *muacks*

Janice & Chong Meng's Wedding

Congrats to the newly wed couple! Attended their wedding ceremony on the 30th December for tea ceremony and 6th December for the wedding dinner. As usual, Chinese has their own culture for every wedding and I guess the tradition never change since last time. A day before the tea ceremony, we have the bachelor's night dinner held at home and the next day is the tea ceremony.

On the 30th Nov morning, woke up early and get ready to go to the bride's (Janice) house. Everyone is excitingly waiting for the bridegroom's (Chong Meng) arrival. And there's one tradition which I'd like to share with everyone. I'm born in the year of Tiger and the pantang-larang goes like this.."Those who're born in the year of Tiger and Dragon must not face the bridegroom or look at him. We can only stand at one corner and peep at his arrival..hahha!" And the bridegroom gotta give those who born in the year of Tiger and Dragon angpows. How lucky huh! ;)

Chong Meng arrived around 10.30am together with his bachelor friends.

DSC03147

Look at this cute boy. It's Lachlan..Alex's nephew. Actually it was supposed to be his bro, Lucas, who opened the car door but I guess he was not in a good mood for that..hehhe! I dont know what's the tradition of opening the car door but I know there's always gotta be someone who must open the groom's car door. Hmm..why cant the groom open the car door by himself?? I think I'll ask my future husband to open by himself and save up on the angpow..hahhha!

DSC03145

Most of ChongMeng's friends are badminton players and I guess you guys should know one or two famous players in the photo. (L-R) ChongMeng's bro, KooKienKeat, Anthony, JeremyGan, TanBinShen, OngSoonHock and LeeWanWah. Sounds familiar to you? Hehhe I think most of you should know KooKienKeat and LeeWanWah..the famous doubles national player. And on that day, there's just more than only badminton skills needed in order to satisfy the bridesmaids.

First game: One of them are asked to finish up the whole bottle of Coca-Cola using the straw provided. Actually they make holes at the straw which makes it difficult for them to suck out the drink in the time period given. The first person who performed was Koo Kien Keat, finishing the whole can of Coke.

DSC03164

Couldnt really remember the sequence of the game. But one of the game is that they gotta use the super huge and super small badminton racquet to bounce the marshmallow and to be received by another friend using their mouth. It was quite a tough job. In the court, those badminton players only need to hit the shuttlecocks but now..shuttlecocks are replaced by marshmellows. The boyfriend was asked to demo to them how the game goes..LOL

They succeed in that game but next they were asked to brush their teeth with WASABI!!

DSC03171

Hahha their expressions! Some of them were smart. They only brush the front teeth and some stupid ones brush their teeth in and out with the wasabi. I think wasabi will give them a nightmare and perhaps Japanese food is a big no-no! Hehhe..

And lastly the funniest game of all! The KISSING game! A transparent paper is prepared and those bachelors were asked to put on the red lipstick. Then they were asked to kiss with one partner with the transparent paper in between!

Hahahhahaha! They were pretty lucky that there's no reporters on that day..otherwise this will be published to give Malaysians a big laugh on our national players. They are asked to collect 40 kisses on the transparent paper and they did it!

Oh ya..there's one part for the groom. He was asked to rap a short poem regarding of Janice and his bachelors was rapping the background music of "Yo..yoyo..yo..yo!" LOL! After all the tough games, the bridesmaids allowed the groom to enter the bride's room and thus followed by the tea ceremony.

I didnt really like the bob-style that Tommy did..anyhow not that bad la. Then we headed to One-U for make-up at Shu Uemura. The make-up was so damn thick and obvious. I told Delia the face make-up would crack if someone slapped us..hahha! Reached Hilton KL around 6 something pm and everyone was busy getting ready. Jacky Cheung World Tour '07

Great performance! It was my first time to Jacky Cheung's concert and it's really a good one! Never know he really has good voice..hehhe! Lucky enough that my aunt could get me 2 free tickets from her friend. No VIP seats but at least it's the PS1 seats, which is not far from the stage. And the best thing is..you get to take photos without being noticed by the authorities. Unlike the previous concerts I went, the authorities kept giving us warning coz it's easier to be noticed when you're in the VIP seats area.

This is the 97th concert in his world tour and it is the last one. He even extended his concert til Sunday before leaving Malaysia. Although I only know few of his best sentimental songs, but I find his performance is excellent. A man with the age of 46 still dancing actively on the stage. He even sang the songs he wrote for his wife and two daughters. He wrote a lullaby for his eldest daughter. After singing the lullaby, the crowd clapped and cheered..and he was disappointed. He said his lullaby supposed to make everyone fall asleep like his daughter, but instead everyone cheered..hahhha!

He shared a little embarrassingly that despite having sang so many songs, he's hardly had any songs specially dedicated to his wife and daughters. So in a recent album, he had a song written each for his daughter and wife. He joked that he was somewhat disappointed by his wife ot bad?statement as he had expected some tears in her reaction.

What a lucky dancer! He performed songs from Snow Wolf Lake and Perhaps Love, where his dancers played out the excerpts for each song performed.

Before ending his concert, he sang few of his greatest hits and I love the last song most. It was sad that the concert had to come to an end, but I think we're lucky enough to have him performing in Malaysia in his world tour. I even bought his Black & White album after the concert..hehhe! And once I got home last night, I downloaded so many of his Mandarin greatest hits..LOL! I'm always a fan of the artist after going for his/her concert.

Here's the short video of his performance..which is the last song
