starhill tea salon

Dating day with my big baby last Saturday. We decided to go somewhere to chill a day before our company event.

Lunch at Village Park Restaurant, and as usual the crowd there on weekends are crazy! Everyone's queuing for table and we were so lucky to get table immediately because we made reservation with the boss for 40 pax the next day. And the person in charge immediately got place for us after we made the reservation.

So far I think this is the best nasi lemak in town.

I'm not a big fan of nasi lemak but I think this is really good! *thumbs up*

I kinda love my curls! LOL nice? It's done by myself at home! Using the babyliss hot rollers which I've bought long time and used less than 10 times!

And here's my happy hub.

We headed to KL for window shopping, yes window shopping for me but clothes shopping for him.

After that we decided to walk to Starhill, it's been years we never step into Starhill ever since they started the renovation. I should say never stepped in Starhill ever since Sephora was opened.

Starhill is quite different now and it's being upgraded. Even LV has two outlets in Starhill now.

I was pretty tired from walking and want a place to sit. We walked around and was choosing between cafe in front of the live band or Starhill Tea Salon.

I chose Starhill Tea Salon after seeing many people ordered the hi tea set.

This is our hi tea set.

You can choose either western set or oriental dim sum set. Dim sum set is not that appealing to me, hahah!

The cakes, macaroons, mini sandwiches and everything taste good! It's not that sweet and just nice for my preferance. I've been busy camwhoring and thank god he has his fav mag The Edge with him. Otherwise he'll have a boring wife to accompany him.

My boss sipping his cuppa tea.

I love this place a lot because of its privacy and not as exposed as in TWG. I heard STS were once TWG, and after TWG moved to Pavilion, they name it Starhill Tea Salon.

My favourite photo of the day!

Here's how the place looks like.

Starhill even painted their escalator red, which makes it more luxurious and makes you feel like as if you're walking on a red carpet. LOL!

Uncle Jang

My first time at Uncle Jang! Heard about it long time ago but didn't even think of trying until YenSun asked us for dinner there.

I thought it is the same concept as Daorae but to my surprise it is different! Uncle Jang's didn't give me a good first impression. Because when I got up the lift, I didn't know which floor it is. So we tried 1st floor, once the door opened, eeeuuu full of construction rubbish. Next, 2nd floor, a big green dustbin blocking and all the rubbish dumped there. Then 3rd floor is the restaurant.

The interior of the restaurant is very very simple.

And this is how the food looks like! You ordered according to the set, how many pax and whether normal or spicy. We ordered 2 normal and 1 spicy. And I tell u the spicy is really spicy!

We ordered ramen where they stirred all together.

Here's the chef of the day! Miss Elaine Yong & Miss Voon Yen Sun!

If you asked me, I'm not a big fan of uncle jang's. I still prefer Daorae. I think Daorae is more hygiene and less smoky compared to uncle jang. If you never try before, can give it a try.

Our next uncle jang's would be either next year or NEVER! LOL! πŸ˜‚

how my day goes..

I really need some healthy and clean food now. Been taking too much of fatty and oily and some high cholesterol food when I was in Hua Hin and Koh Samui. Btw my trip was awesome! Will blog about it when I have transferred all the photos to the desktop.

Forced myself to the gym once I'm back from holidays, been taking one week break from the gym. Yesterday hit the gym with 30mins cardio and 3 sets of abs workout. I have something funny to share with you, before this Fion told me to do 3 sets of workout, and I did!

I did 15 times, rest 30 seconds and then continue another two rounds. Been doing that all the time and I realized its too easy and ended very fast. So I asked Fion again. She was surprised why I have no feel, and then to realize that actually the 45 times is considered 1 set only!! LOL!

Actually I just did 1 set according to their standards!! Hahahaha! I tried doing 3 sets yesterday and I could really feel the tiredness and soreness of muscles the next day! Keep it up miss Elaine Yong! Jangan separuh jalan again!

As usual this morning I woke up and went to gym again, I wanted to join yoga class but I was late coz I rolled on the bed watching videos on YouTube on some workouts..LOL!

Oh ya did I mention  vomited yesterday and today after cardio? I think my body is telling me that it needs continuous holidays, food and fun, not workout!

Bought Subway wraps for lunch. Turkey breast and chicken slice.

I wanna show off my new running shoes too..hahahha!

TEA TIME

Both of us went to Bangsar to sign some documents then off to Hartamas for dinner with YenSun and Nick at Uncle Jang.

We reached Hartamas quite early, so the hubby suggested for coffee at Dr Cafe. I'm okay with any place since I'm not a big fan of coffee.

Look at my tummy! My friend asked is that the way to go diet since I've been saying I wanna go on diet all the time! LOL!

The cherry cheesecake is quite nice, but a wrong combination with mocha frappe. I was quite full even before dinner starts.

Bedtime! Will continue tomorrow on our Uncle Jang dinner! Bye!
