How La Not To Gain Weight?

I was chatting with Evonna yesterday on how to lose weight. More meals but little amount. I told her I'm gonna try that. Right after that my first meal was dinner. Dinner at Overseas Restaurant with Danny, WeiJen and their high school friends. It was farewell dinner for Danny. He's leaving to Australia next Sunday.

WeiJen booked a table of about RM1000 course meal. Supposed to have 10 pax but some ffk..so left with 7 of us. WeiJen knows the chef of Overseas Restaurant. So he asked the chef to prepare the dishes for us without us ordering. And our meal was the best last night. The best meal we ever had in overseas. We usually have dinner there and the captain never understand youngsters like us. They always give us very little portion and we're always unsatisfied. It was different last night.

The portion is so big that we couldnt finish them. Even the chef gotta cut down some of the dishes and left with only few. WeiJen did not order the char siew and it was finished by the time we wanna order. Anyhow the chef prepared a plate specially for us. That's great! LOL..

The first dish

Mouthwatering soup - filled with scallops, chicken and herbs

Roasted Piglet - slightly different coz there's some fillings underneath the skin

Famous char siew of Overseas Restaurant

Special fried rice from the chef's recipe

And lastly free desserts from the chef - coconut jelly

I couldnt finish the jelly. And I started my artistic work on the jelly and coconut flesh..hehhe! Actually there's 2 more dishes but it was canceled coz we cant finish them. Otherwise we'll be overfull and bloated..LOL!

Look at Danny's shirt! "I'm A Virgin?" I guess that describe him when he was a young boy. Furthermore it stated "this is a very old T-shirt"..hahha I'm sure he bought that shirt when he was in primary school. Now he's disqualified for that shirt!

Now we're addicted on having dinner in Overseas Restaurant. No wonder those tycoons and rich ones love to dine there. The food is really fine and special. I think we'll have monthly gathering there and let WeiJen to get the chef to cook for us again.

Okay back to my topic. Seen what I've had for dinner? Is it small amount? LOL in the afternoon I said I'm gonna eat lesser, but for dinner it's the opposite from what I've said. Terrrible!
How la I wanna lose weight?

And tonight I'm having another gathering with Jenna, Farah, Alia and some of other Taylor's friends. Jenna's leaving on Sunday and Alia's leaving tomoro. Another heavy dinner tonight. Steamboat! I guess I'm gonna stop eating so much after the steamboat tonite. No more Elaaaine!

Winter Warmers

Wanted to watch CJ7 yesterday at Cineleisure but the queue was damn long. So we gave up and headed to The Curve to yam cha. Our usual yam cha session is Dome but this time we have another new place. The Winter Warmers. I love the iced mixed fruit cocktails. And yesterday we ordered the sandwiches. Quite nice.

The environment is not bad. Gives you the warmy feel as if you're at home having tea time ;)

Later we're going for CJ7. I've booked the tickets via e-ticketing and confirmed we'll get to watch it today..hehhe! Managed to get the Twin Seating as well..LOL! I've been waiting for few days to watch CJ7. So dont blame me for being so sampat!

Tonight we'll have farewell dinner for Danny. Gonna have another grand meal as CNY gathering and farewell dinner.

Praying Festival

I was back to Penang for a day to pray for the Tien Kong. It is the festival of Hokkien lang..hehhe! My actual religion is Hakka but we followed our grandmum since young, so we're indirectly considered as Hokkiens. Complicated..nevamind. It's been two years since we last prayed Tien Kong coz my mum passed away and we cant pray for 3 years. For Hokkiens, Tien Kong, which is prayed on the 8th night of CNY, is the most important day during the CNY.

In my family, Tien Kong is prayed in a grand way, where the whole roasted pig and other food are served to the God. This year Dad ordered the 33kg roasted pig. He waited for almost 2 hours before he can get it. I think Penang is the most happening place to pray Tien Kong coz most people are Hokkiens. The boyfriend followed me back to hometown to experience the fun..hahha!

Sorry to my Malay readers for displaying the photos of the roasted pig.

The boyfriend is quite amazed with the way we prayed. He never expect the servings to be so much. For his family, they'll just have do the normal praying and that's it. But it's different for Penangites. Anyhow every family has their own way of praying. In my family, everyone is really excited especially when we're all waiting for the roasted pig to be cut into pieces..LOL!

And you can see the sky is filled with fireworks here and there. And you dont only see on series of fireworks but MANY! I think every family is trying to amaze the GOD with this and to attract the GOD's attention..hahha! This year there's no fireworks/firecrackers for my house coz Dad cant manage to get them.

When it reaches 12am, Dad started to lit the big joss stick and everyone started to pray. You can wish for whatever you want but not money dropping down from the skies. Hahha. This year I'm wishing for a good health and prosperity in my career. And the rest not to be mention *shhh*

Camwhore session. My aunt, Stephanie, busy posing with my cousins and having fun with their poses. There's few photos of their silly actions but I like this most. It's been quite some time since I last took so many photos.

My youngest sister. Look at the difference of our heights! I'm the shortest among my siblings..hehhe but usually the eldest in the family is quite short. Is that true?

After praying all of us started to open out all the gold papers (which is believed to be the money) and gathered them all to be burnt later. When it's photo taking time, I played with the gold paper coz they folded it like a hat. Look at the pose I did..hehhe and my Dad said I should wear it and pray to become Crown President (which is the highest level in the MLM I'm doing)..LOL!

I know that was an open burning. I know it will caused air pollution but that's the tradition. Just obeyed law.

And here comes the fun part. After all the traditions, finally it's time to pity the roasted pig. My uncle, a chef, does the cutting of pig every year. He knows the way to operate the pig and cut them into pieces. And we only know how to wait and eat the siew yuk (roasted pork)..hehhe!

Hhahahhaha I cant stop laughing when I see this photo. See how cute Stephanie posing with the pig's head. It's quite pity right?

That how the Hokkiens pray in Penang. ;)

Happy Valentine's Day

Hello everyone! The sweetest day of the year has arrived and I'm sure you guys had prepared for it rite? ;) Restaurants and romantic places are all fully booked. For me, my Valentine's Day is postponed to a later date. The boyfriend doesnt wanna be with the crowd. He'd prefer to celebrate it on a normal day where you dont need to be with the crowd and enjoying not-so-good food. I'm sorry to say this but I really had bad experience for the last Valentine's.

Last year, we celebrated with Robert and Delia at Bar Savarh and the food is really bad. Four of us were really unsatisfied and we headed to Overseas Restaurant for another round of Valentine's dinner. We're smart this year. We'll just dine in any restaurant and celebrate our big day next week. The boyfriend has booked for dinner at "The Revolving Restaurant" at KL Tower. So both of us gonna enjoy our dinner in peace without much people surrounding us..hehhe!

February 14th

Happy Birthday Dear!

It's really a special day for me and the boyfriend. There's double celebration for both of us. It is also the boyfriend's birthday! How sweet huh..but usually we celebrated his birthday on the 13th and have our Valentine's dating on the 14th. But there's slight changes this year. We'll be going back to Penang on the 14th to pray for "tien kong" (The Sky God i guess..). Everything is postponed to later date. Anyhow we went shopping today at KLCC and both of us were really happy. LOL

I bought some clothes for the boyfriend as his birthday present. He tried two shirts and a pants from GAP. It fits him well. So I bought for him as birthday present. Part of his birthday present. This year I'm not gonna get him 23 presents like last year. Since he dont have much clothes to wear anymore, I'm gonna get more clothes for him this year.

I love his pants. WeiJen bought his favourites in GAP as well, and both of their purchases exceeded RM700, so they were offered GAP membership. The membership is really easy. You dont need to flash the GAP member card and actually you dont have any member card. All you have to do is to key in the mobile number of applicants and you'll have the 10% discount. So easy right? Let me know if any of you need the discount. I'll give you the mobile number of my single and available friend..hehhe!

And I reward myself something GOOOOD! I bought a Gucci messenger bag..

I love my messenger bag! I've been looking for a sling back for quite some time but couldnt find a suitable one. Went to Starhill the other day and saw this bag. I was so in love with it but the boyfriend asked me to have a look at others. And today we saw it again at KLCC. Never expect I'll get it by today..cant stop myself from not buying it. I was so headache deciding whether to take brown or black. And I ended up with the black one coz it's not that common to have the classic brown colour. I'm sooo happy now! Gonna start launching it tomooroo... ;)

Anyway hope all of you enjoy your Valentine's Day! For the singles, enjoy your day by treating yourself with something good and to couples, enjoy this day with your loved ones ya!
