Antique People?

Have you come across any friends who fell in love with antique stuffs?! I would name them the “antique people” where these kinda people usually falls in the category of age 40-50. And you know what? My dad and his siblings are in this category!

My dad is so in love with antique stuffs like irons, sewing machines, house phone and etc. Some of the items I guess us, the younger generations had never seen before. In fact, my dad doesn’t fancy those modern furnitures like the ones in Ikea. He said that’s the modern style of furnitures. He’d prefer those wooden types of furnitures, made of huge tree in the forest. And all the furnitures in my house are so wooden, that you can only find ONE sofa set in the second living room.

My uncles and aunties are all antiques fans. Each of their house definitely has an antique item and I have an aunt, who owns Mee Jawa, displayed her restaurant with antique items. Fuhh..

Last week my uncle suggested us to go Amcorp Mall and have a look at all the stalls selling antiques. My dad is venturing into this business for leisure as he gets those antiques from kampung kampung, sometimes in Indonesia and other ulu places. He had collected a lot and friends buy from him! This is what we called..when hobby turns into a business!

My first time to Amcorp Mall..no idea how the shopping mall looks like until last Sunday when I went with the boyfriend and his mum. The boyfriend’s mum and I went to pick the boyf from coaching, and we had lunch at Sri Melaka inside Amcorp Mall. I kinda like the place coz it’s something like Sg Wang but it’s not that crowded.

We had lunch first before we go jalan.

Okay let's start with the antiques..

The first thing that caught my attention was the antique black disc! LOL most of us are using DVD or at least a VCD right, before that the HUGE black disc was invented and does this looks similar to the disc used by deejays in clubs?

IMG_0488
IMG_0506

This is the olden days "black disc player"..hehhee! The speaker is so damn huge and my uncle's house has one. My aunt played it once for us and the sound is horrible. I mean the black disc songs are horrible..it will gives u nightmare if you played it in the midnight.

IMG_0489

Look at these old abacus! This is so old la..and it's rusty sumore. Antique lovers always find that rusty and dusty things are valuable. The older the better.

IMG_0493
IMG_0494

I love these antique irons, where you have to put charcoals in it and wait til the metal got heated. My dad has few and maybe one day i'll get some charcoals and try to iron with it! Hhahha..should be interesting!

Ooooo typewriter! I used before when I was young..cant remember how old but if I'm not mistaken I used it in makmal komputer (computer labs).

IMG_0492

Telescope..

IMG_0495

Whee..antique camera! I'm not sure if this is the antique DSLR..ahahha! I ask the man,"ini masih boleh pakai? (is this camera still working?)"

And he answered me,"terpulang pada nasib la (depends on your luck).."

Coins collection. See how people really turn their hobbies into business. A one dollar coin is selling for RM50!! And some of the coins I never see before..

IMG_0497
IMG_0498

When I saw this phone, it reminds me of my childhood! That's the phone in my house, where we have to turn sooo many rounds to make a phone call. Each digit we have to turn one round and imagine 6 digits last time..if emergency mampus (die) lar..!
IMG_0501

This phone is still working..just plug in the connection line and it's ready to use!

IMG_0446

Okay and I found another interesting item. The blue machine is actually a receipt machine! Hahhha..I thought it was a calculator. The aunty told me this is used by mini market owners when they wanna print out receipts for customers. Nowadays we have the electronic ones..

IMG_0503

IMG_0507

IMG_0502

So that's my "antique trip" to Amcorp Mall. Maybe next time I can introduce other antique items to my readers. Have you seen an antique calculator?! LOL this is also an interesting item. Wait til I get back home and I'll take a photo of it. The using method is also very interesting..lolz!

p/s: A reader of mine, dSaint, commented that the piring hitam is not called a black disc. The suitable word for it is record! LOL..and da player is a gramaphone..Thanks ya! I dont know what its called until I read the comment. ;)

Raymond a.k.a Lam Fung In Phuture

The last time we went clubbing was err..I cant remember. I know it's been a long long time since we clubbed. Last week the boyfriend wanted to join Alvin but then last minute couldnt make it coz it was late already. So he promised Alvin to go last night.

In fact it was quite fun last night, although I sat on the sofa for the whole night without drinking and dancing. i feel i'm more like going yam cha than clubbing. No girls around until Alia came around 2.30am.

IMG_0454
IMG_0453
Oh Kennedy joined us too! It's been years since we last met and now we meet up in Phuture! LOL! Called Eugene to join along but he's too tired. And William was in Genting.

IMG_0455
IMG_0457

This is Alvin's emo face. He explained that he showed this kinda face coz I didnt invite any girl friends along! And he even said that he invited (me) the wrong friend to join him club. I kept telling him that my friends will come later and he was impatient. Hahaha!

Here comes the climax part of this entry!

Raymond a.k.a Lam Fung, the TVB actor, was in Phuture too! When he first reached the club, his bodyguards and assistance opened the way for him and that time I couldnt recognise him at all. The boyfriend kept mentioning his name but I have no idea until he told me the series Moonlight Renaissance.

Raymond Lam Fung is so handsome!Hahha..perfect height and tanned skin. Fuhyoo..

IMG_0458
I took this pic on time when he's on his to the toilet. I standby my camera. At the same time Alex shouted, "Lam Fung..Bye Bye!" and he paused to look. SNAP! And I got it! Nice one..

IMG_0459
IMG_0460

I asked Weijen how can I get into the private room?! LOL..we were wondering what is he doing in Malaysia and there are few guesses.

Today I found out that he was doing his promo tour in Pavilion yesterday. If I'm not mistaken he's gonna do a concert in Malaysia either next month or Dec. Hmm..not interested in his singing talent, I'd prefer to c him in TVB series.

We went for Pork Noodles at Pudu after that. Didnt really like it. I'd still prefer Teochew Porridge..LOL!

The boyfriend is addicted to clubbing after last night's session. And he said we should go at least once a month...*sweat*

Stand Up For Pink

"Bangsar Village goes pink for the first time in support of the International Breast Cancer Awareness Month of October. Together with the Malaysian Breast Cancer Council, Bangsar Village launched the Pledge Wall for Pink to encourage all to pledge to be breast aware and also help raise funds for the University Malaya Medical Centre Breast Cancer Fund."

I was in Bangsar Village last Sunday for shopping and dinner with the boyf. Parked our car at Bangsar Village and we walked to BV II via the skybridge. And we came across the Pledge Wall For Pink which is part of the Stand Up for Pink campaign where the public are encouraged to donate a token sum to the breast cancer fund and write a message on the pledge wall.

I didnt know what to write on the pledge wall after making the donation, and I thought the pledge wall was meant for us to leave our signature and go! LOL! I regretted only leaving my signature on the wall, instead I think I can write more messages there. Never think of that..

I get the boyfriend to take photographs of me when I'm signing and all the photos turned out to be unacceptable. So I didnt wanna post it in..tak boleh take it! Hahha!

IMG_0363
IMG_0361

Can you see where's my signature? It's on the top most left on the word "STA"..hehhe! After I leave my signature, then I realized we're supposed to sign in the small hearts column..LOL memalukan I leave such a big signature there.

I think all of us really be should be aware of breast health and do examine our own breast from time to time. Here's a website I googled which helps if you dont know how to do the Breast Self Examination. Dont ask me why is the lady's breast so saggy..that's not my point. Most important is the steps on how to examine your breast okay..not focusing on the saggy breast..hahha!

In fact, all the shops in Bangsar Village are supporting this campaign and they have items customised in pink to support this campaign. Thumbs up!

Then we had dinner at Madam Kwan's. I had Nasi Bojari and I still prefer the Nasi Lemak. The boyfriend watched me eat because he was still full.

Grandmama's

My uncle recommended me a new restaurant called Grandmama's at Pavilion, and according to him this outlet is owned by Madam Kwan or her close relatives like daughter or what..I cant remember. It's nearby to TGIF on the 5th floor.

I took out my camera to camwhore because I told the boyf I dont have any photos to live up my blog. Lotsa events but no photos. I never like to blog without photos.
IMG_0432
IMG_0431

Purposely took this photo of him! Before getting down the car to Pavilion, I was drinking from my 2-litres water bottle and I drank a lot. Next I passed the water to him and he tried to imitate me drinking lotsa water. Then I challenged him to finish the whole bottle of water, which is around 1 litre plus before we get down from the car. And he really did that! He finished the whole bottle of water!

Hahha! So when we were in Grandmama's, as usual I ordered cold plain water and a warm one for him. When the waiter served us, he got sick of that plain water! LOL..He said, "I'm gonna vomit if I drink sumore!"..

IMG_0438

Next time when he sees plain water, he'll think of me! ;D

My uncle recommended us to try Sang Har Yee Meen but I heard wrongly. I thought it was Sang Har Hor Fun..hahah! And we ordered Sang Har Hor Fun for tea time. We both love the soup and at first it looks like Kueh Teow Basah to me. But the soup is awesome! You can taste the sweetness of the Sang Har (Fresh Prawns).
IMG_0447
IMG_0449

We should try the Sang Har Yee Meen next time. Perhaps should ask Stephanie along so that we can order more dishes to try. So far the Sang Har Hor Fun is good too! Try it out guys..

Updates about my blackberry Javelin. My boyfriend is nagging everyday because I online for 24/7 and I ignore him terus. He said he's dating a mute girlfriend who doesnt talk to him during meals and in the car. I'm so addicted to my phone and let me tell you what..this is the best phone I've ever had!

Trust me! No regrets for choosing this phone.

I'm addicted to applications like Twitter, Facebook, Blackberry Messenger, Opera Browser, GPS and many many more. That's why my battery doesnt last me more than 6 hours! I have to use the in-car charger to charge my battery everyday. I'm gonna get extra battery soon.

I Broke Up With Maxis

Yes I broke up with my 9 years boyfriend named Maxis. We started dating since Form2 til now and because of third party, named Celcom, I decided to end my 9 years relationship with Maxis. Maxis treated me very well and everything was so perfect until Celcom showered me with Blackberry Unlimited Services for only RM38. That's how Celcom win over my heart. Sigh.

I know Maxis is sad but I have no choice. Maxis makes me have to spend more money and Celcom allows me to save more on the phone. Secondly Maxis makes me pay RM120 for unlimited blackberry services and Celcom only RM38. I'm sorry Maxis, we have to end our relationship at this final stage. I have no choice because although I'm with Celcom but I still get to be who I am, by using back my existing number.

Let me share with you guys what Maxis sms-ed me when we were about to broke up.

This sms from Maxis made me feel reluctant to leave him. He hope to serve me again in the future. But I believe there's still hope for Maxis is Celcom is not treating me well right?!

Are you willing to wait for me, Maxis? I cherish every moments that we had and appreciate everything that you gave me, including the free monthly credit of RM300 for almost a year as part of your SME dealer. I will always remember you, Maxis! *hugz & kisses*

Okay I'm married to Celcom for 2 years but I have a secret to share with you guys. I will divorce with Celcom anytime if I find that he's not treating me well. Especially for his services. Hmm day and night services must be good! LOL!

Let me show you what Celcom sent to me when he knows I choose him.
IMG_0396

He said I made the right choice for choosing him. He has the widest and best d**k. I'll see how he perform okay..Hehhe jk! I'm together with Celcom for like 4 days and everything is going fine. I'm kinda in love with Celcom already. Gimme some time to love Celcom more. I love him a lot because he gives me unlimited usage of blackberry services and I can online 24/7.

Okay now let me introduce to the love of my life..Miss Berry!!

IMG_0385

Let me tell you. I'm so in love with my BB Curve 8900 a.k.a Javelin! She has become part of my life and now her position has outbids the boyfriend. I got her back on Saturday morning at Blue Cube, One Utama.

The first day I played with her every minute until I go to bed. The boyfriend said I dont even complain of hungry altho I didnt had my dinner.Hehhe! I have no regrets choosing this phone mann..and now I'm recommending all my friends to get one! It's gonna be more fun if more people are using it.

Yesterday I went to Low Yat to get a dress for my Miss Berry. I surveyed few shops before buying but I still ended up paying for higher prices. Wtf!

The first skin I bought was limegreen..the colour is striking and sharp. I bought it for RM25, cheapest among the other shops that are selling for RM30-RM35.

IMG_0390

Next we walked further into a section where not many people will actually notice the shops there because it's towards the back section. The guy gave me RM20 and I was so happy. I choose bright red and when I was about to pay I asked for discount..so its RM18.
IMG_0389

The last shop I walked in and the guy insisted RM25..I must get from him coz the pink is pretty sharp and nice. So I bargained til he gave me RM18!! Hehhe..
IMG_0386
IMG_0388

The pink is actually nicer in actual than in the photo, maybe because of the flash. So that's the 3 dresses I bought for Miss Berry. Gonna get her more nicer dresses when I go Jakarta again. There's more choices there because 90% of Indonesians are using Blackberry. This is one of the reason that makes me wanna try using Blackberry.

Since I have my BB, I'm always online in MSN and updating Twitter frequently. Some of my friends thought that I wasnt working and was at home online 24/7..hehhe! Jangan salah faham! I update when I'm in the car, or while having lunch or dinner. Most of them I online when I'm in the car. There's once when I online too much in the car til I got dizzy..hahha!

Blackberry Messenger
I love it so much although my list is still not that many friends. I dont know who are using BBM. Do let me know if you have BBM k..we can exchange pins! BBM is like MSN but you can chat anytime with your friends no matter where they are in the world..best this is IT'S FREE! Of course you need to subscribe to Blackberry services first.

Facebook Mobile
I comment and view photos when I'm free via BB. So I guess I'm really updated with my friends' status and latest highlights. Hehhe!

Twitter
Yes I know I tweet very frequently and I checked on every updated tweets from the people I followed. This is another another fun application.

Push email
I got updated with my mailbox anywhere I go. And I reply them immediately. Otherwise I used to reply mails after few days or a week.

Built-in GPS
This is so awesome! I dont need a Garmin anymore. My BB really direct me to the place I'm not familiar with and it's accurate! Muah..

Read blogs
I read blogs all the time..that's how I spend my extra time. In fact I just downloaded Opera Mini and blogs seem to fit perfectly for the screen. I dont need to scroll left and right to read further.

Others
I update myself from thestar online every morning and also via Twitter I got updated with the latest news. Hmm what else I do?

I guess that's the major activities I do with my BB. Will discover more of other applications soon. I need to find more themes. Currently using the Fafi theme that was linked from Xiaxue's blog.

Okay I need to sleep now. Get one BB for yourself too k! ;)
