Food Marathon In Penang

I just got back from Penang today.

This morning 5am we started driving back. I was so sober at that time because I slept at 2am and it is almost impossible to drag me up at 5am. Actually the boyf wanted to drive back at 12am but I suggested that we should take a nap for few hours since we were out the whole day already.

I had so much fun in Penang.

The main purpose of going back hometown this time was to QingMing for my mum. I went back on Sunday reached home around 11.40am. We had dinner in Tapah rest area and you know what? The chicken rice and the fish balls soup was awesome!


Monday

I woke up around 11 something to find that the boyf and dad has already went out. Wanted to go for my favourite kuey teow soup with my sis, but the boyf accidentally took out the car key with him. So we waited till almost 12pm.

Then we went over to Penang International Airport to pick my sister. She wanted to treat us for pork ribs but Dad was waiting for us to have lunch at home.

Food at home wasn't that nice. We regretted not going for pork ribs..LOL!

Later in the evening we went for assam laksa. I prefer the one opposite Berapit Secondary School or Taman Bukit Laksa. Qianhwei prefers pasar malam laksa and the youngest sis prefers Cendol House laksa. But luckily 3 of us loves the Jawi laksa..hahahah!

The noodles used to be clumped in round shape but now it's kinda different already. I still prefer the clumped noodles.


Tuesday

We went to QingMing for my mum. All of us were back for this year's QingMing and I'm sure my mum is happy up there. We had good laughs and I love the way my dad criticized my bro. He is so pro mann. LOL!

The night before we showed Dad my bro's facebook. Dad saw his profile pic where he was in the club drinking and posing with a straw on his mouth.

The next morning, Dad told us that his friend's son was suffering from lung cancer. He continued that his friend's son is only 30 years old, and he used to drink and smoke like nobody's business. And when he drink liquor, he uses straw..hahahhaha my bro pretended to read the newspaper.

Whereas 3 of us knew he was mentioning about my bro..LOL! Bro must be wondering why the story that Dad told us was so similar to his pic in FB.

Had lunch at home and then all of us took a nap. Planned to go over Penang island around 3 something but we all woke up 5pm.

Reached Penang island around 6 something.

Youngest sis brought us to this new seafood place in Tanjung Bungah. Hmm beware of the tempting food below. Heheh!

After dinner, we checked in to our hotel at Corpthorne Orchid Hotel. Actually Dad booked Berjaya Hotel for us but when we were there, there's none of our record and maybe the Berjaya Vacation Club management didnt confirm his booking or there's mistakes.

Instead of going back home, the boyf suggested that we'll just find a hotel at Tanjung Bungah/Batu Feringghi and stay for a night. We ended up in Corpthone. ;)

We drove out again around 9pm hunting for supper.

Ended up in Hard Rock Hotel. I wanted to go inside coz I've seen from magazines the interior is so damn nice.






To my surprise, the place is so so only. Not as beautiful as seen in the magazine, hmm..

Sis said she felt like eating wedges and etc. We came to a conclusion - supper at Hard Rock Cafe.

We ordered Jumbo Combo and a dessert. Jumbo Combo is my all time fav! Especially the buffalo wings..slurps!

Wednesday

We all woke up late. Checked out at 1pm when Dad called us for lunch. He wanted to bring us to Penang Road for food but the shop was closed.

Dad called back and asked us to makan sendiri..hahahha!

Had our lunch at Smoky Jack - introduced by Qianhwei.

I really had food marathon in Penang. There's too many places that we wanted to go, too bad not enough time and our stomach couldnt stretch anymore.

Enough of food. I need to get back to gym as soon as possible before my waist starts to stretch..heheh!
