He's definitely wrong.

To me this is the best investment ever for girls. Skincare.

I'm so obsessed with skincare lately. No more into clothing although I'm out of clothes to wear. I never missed buying any skincare products each time I entered into the cosmetics counter. My skin is getting better from day to day because of the high intake of nutrients. And now I'm investing heavily into skincare products to regenerate glowing skin. I tried anything that has been advertised heavily or read some good reviews from magazines.

Choice of skincare is really important because a wrong choice will cause a nightmare to our skin. Last time I used to try the whole range of skincare by using the same brand for all the essentials, but no longer now. I combined different brands depending on their best products for each brand. For cleansing oil, I choose Shu Uemura Cleansing Oil and Kose Whitening Powder Wash as cleanser. For exfoliating, I'm using St Ive's Apricot Scrub.

Yesterday SK-II was having their 28th anniversary sales for only a day. If you were to purchase any SK-II products worth of RM450, and you're entitled for RM450 free gifts. Or purchase up to RM1500 and get gifts worth RM1500. The RM1500 gifts was really attractive but I do not have that many things to purchase, so I called both my aunt Stephanie and Jenny to check out if they have anything to buy. To my surprise, they have so many things to buy as well. So we combined all our purchases up to RM1950 and got both set of gifts. Then we shared out the gifts..hehhe! I bought Facial Clear Solution and Whitening Source Dermdefinition, and took the Skin Refining Treatment and Treatment Sign Mask from the gift set. Worth it!

Toner - Clinique Clarifying Lotion 2. It is alcohol-based and functions to exfoliate the dead and dull skin. It's quite cooling on skin.



Actually I stopped using SK-II products for almost half a year because I tried other brands. But 2 months ago, I returned to their Facial Treatment Essence(75ml) to give a try again. My skin actually got better and I purchased the 150ml again. Now they have the Limited Edition Treatment Essence 215ml for RM380 only..very worth it. Perhaps will get it in another few weeks time, if they still have it.




I've heard from friends that they tend to have break outs after using SK-II products. Once I asked the promoter, and she said that only stable skin are recommended, which means you dont have any acnes growing anymore. Maybe it's true, coz the first time I used my pimples got worst. Then a year later my skin condition was pretty stable and no break outs for now after using the products.

Mosturizer - Clinique Moisture Surge. I love this water-based mosturizer because it is non-greasy type unlike Aqua Physic Gel. It absorbs into the skin quickly and it feels comfortable and smooth.

Whitening Source Dermdefinition - this is to lighten my dark spots on the scars. I hope it helps. My first time trying.. ;)

Facial Clear Solution - an oil control mosturizer.

Skin Refining Treatment - to minimize my large pores. Used at night and it will deep cleanse the pores, the next morning have to cleanse properly to remove the sebum.


Swissline Gylcolic Refining Peel - to exfoliate the dead cells. Try this instead of going for heavy chemical peel to remove my acne scar.

Those are the new products I'm trying at the moment. Other than that, I'm using the existing products I have. For make-ups, nothing much new. Oh I went to Mid Valley two weeks ago and saw the outlet "Nu Ren Wo Zui Da". This is actually the famous TV beauty show in Taiwan. So I walked into the shop and asked for their best selling products. The promoter recommended me this Sony CP Face Powder which makes our skin looks natural and glowing.



I find it similar to loose powder which does not have much effect except the skin looks brighter. Not recommended for heavy coverage.

Alright that's it for my reviews on the skincare products I'm using right now. I'd love to try out every brands' best selling products. By doing so, my skin is able to absorb the best of each brand instead of using one brand for the entire range.

I admit that I'm very demanding and greedy. Last time when I had pimples, I'd wish that my pimples will go away and I'm really satisfied. Now when my pimples were gone, I'd ask for smaller pores, scarless skin, glowing skin, smooth skin, and perfect skin! LOL! Isnt that too much? But I dont mind spending a lot to get a perfect skin. HOW AR??!!

Sipadan Island - Part I

Sorry for not updating for a long time. I was kinda busy and when I have the time, photos were not resized yet. By the time I finished resizing one by one, it reaches bed time. Hehhe you might be thinking "Why lar give so many reasons.."..hahha!

Sipadan was awesome! Must visit, people!

Best still if you have your scuba diving license, because that place is known as one of the best scuba diving spots in Asia. I only have the chance for snorkeling instead of diving. Did not managed to go for scuba diving lesson. Perhaps I will take it anytime before my next trip to Sipadan.

Just in case some of you might not know where's Sipadan. Sipadan is located in the east of Tawau, Sabah and it was formed by living corals growing on top of an extinct volcanic cone that took thousands of years to develop. In the past, the Abu Sayyaf terrorists gang kidnapped some tourists and workers at the island. So now the Malaysian military are protecting tourists against possible terrorists attacks . The government do not allow any visitors to stay in the island anymore, and you got the apply for permission before entering into the island.

We took an early flight to Tawau and the hotel management arranged us the transport to Semporna jetty before getting to our chalet, Sipadan-Mabul Resort.



Something happened to our flight there. The flight was ready for take off and the pilot had started accelerating. Before the take off, the plane went on an emergency brake! Everyone in the plane was panic. Almost take off and goes with an emergency brake? What's wrong? One of the computer system shut down in a sudden, and the pilot could not take off. He made an emergency brake and then make a U-turn back to the terminal. My heart almost jumped out. Luckily the computer system did not shut off after the take off or when we're on the sky.

We waited for almost 2 hours before transferring to another plane. Our schedule was delayed.

The journey from Tawau airport to Semporna took about an hour plus. Reached jetty around 1pm and we gotta rushed to check in our chalet and get ready to go Sipadan. Our permit to Sipadan is on the first day itself. If we were late, then we might miss the chance to Sipadan. And luckily we reached our chalet quite early, around 2pm.

Had our lunch at the resort and check in around 3pm. We took a quick lunch because all of us were excited to go Sipadan island instead of filling up our stomach. If we eat a lot, we might ended up with seasick or whatever..lol!




Gathered at the lobby at 3pm and get ready for Sipadan! Woohoo..The sky was blue and no sign of rain. Good good.



I camwhored before getting wet. I know I wont look pretty when I'm wet..hahha! Unlike those swimwear model, I dont have potential at all! Hhahaha..





We got more excited when we reached the island. It was really beautiful. Especially the corals and fishes. Oh let me tell you..the fishes there aint mini! They are big..huge fishes! Same goes to the turtles that we saw. My dad saw a group of sharks as well, but they're the tame ones. I didnt follow him to the other side of the island, so no sharks seeing for me.

And this is the proof that I've landed in Sipadan..hahha! The only signboard that is available in the island.









We have to sign few forms to agree on the rules and regulations of entering into Sipadan island. I dont have the photos of the corals and beautiful fishes. Perhaps I will add in when I got the photos from my friends' camera.

We spent 2 hours at Sipadan Island before leaving back to our resort. I was reluctant to leave the island but no choice, it was getting late. According to a friend, the day gets dark kinda early at the east coast. Around 6 something it's all dark.



I love our resort. A relaxing place to chill. Unfortunately we only stayed for a night there before it is too costly. USD400 per night. But this time we got discount because AhHwa got the government staff rate.

Is my photography skills improving? Hehhe I should've asked Eugene where is my level. ;)
